Curious as to how a health coach can help your practice and patients?

See below for new national standards and links to peer-reviewed articles.

To address standards, the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) put out the following statement:

“The National Board of Medical Examiners in Coordination with the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching has successfully created an exam that all health coaches must now sit for in order to be Nationally Board Certified.  Coaches must have gone through one of the approved programs and held a minimum number of coaching sessions with clients in order to be eligible to sit for the National Board Exam.

The first exam was held in September of 2017 and is now held approximately twice yearly.

Check to make sure your health coach is properly credentialed and Nationally Board Certified.”

  • Lisa Spector In Her Health And Wellness Coaching Office

In 2017 I became one of the first Nationally Board Certified Health and Wellness Coaches in the Nation and the first and only in all of Southwest Missouri. I was so excited I could hardly contain my enthusiasm. I was able to help people move forward with their lives in a very meaningful, lasting, and powerful way. Health coaching is a strong vehicle for change. I believe fully in our ability to change, transform, and evolve. Often our success comes with support, accountability, resources, and someone who genuinely cares about us. That’s me, a Mindfully Aware Health & Wellness Coach.
